This composition was reconstructed by Max Runze, based on a rudimentary sketch of text and melody, see M. Runze, Loewe als Hohenzollernsänger und seine Beziehungen zu Friedrich Wilhelm IV, Brandenburgia (1902), pp.351-365. Runze even suggests there was no librettist Carl Randow (p.363): "... It now seems doubtful to me that a finished poem by Randow was the source; I now believe that Loewe wrote the poem himself and was not entirely satisfied with it ...".
If a librettist Carl Rudow has existed at all, a possible candidate may be this one (pure speculation ...): Theodor "Carl" August Henrich Ernst von Randow (1786-1852).
