  • The publication date on the print is 1671, but the RISM link above says 1671 (1670).
  • RISM classifies these as "sacred songs", not motets, but Grove Music refers to Hammerschmidt returning in this work to a "motet style" that is "madrigalian in [its] emphasis on the text."
