The work was still in preparation as of a mid-year 1908 issue of Le Courrier Musicale (p.441); indeed in a brief note in the 21 June 1908 Le guide Musical it is noted that he has just completed the sextet and a string quartet also. A note in Le Courrier Musicale, 1909 p.592 (snippet view in Google- will seek another source?) seems to suggest that it was published by mid-1909?
