Navigation etc.
Composed for a known evanescent person who went through a modification, before disappearing into the Great Unknown, but was lately rediscovered, having gone through a redefinition, a cryptic formulation only decipherable by the invisible dedicatee. The cover picture shows the One-Armed Left-Handed Shepherd with Flute, a statue in Jardin Public, Bordeaux, which the dedicatee may not have noticed although she lived nearby with a very respectable landlady, a madame, as she called her ironically. This is the latest fully revised version of this œuvre. The audio version was this time revised and corrected before the score itself, for page making reasons. The score is therefore more dovetailed with the audio output in mind, than with for instance inscribed legato and other markings. The original score, entitled Five Statements was penned on paper, and the software later imported into Finale from Encore. The third short movement was penned subsequently, as an afterthought. The second part of this Suite, That Lost Flute, was composed sequentially.
