Sommernatsstemning is the 3rd orchestral work by Ludolf Nielsen, composed in summer 1903 on a poem by Johannes Jørgensen. First performed at the 1st February 1904 in Leipzig under the baton of Hans Winderstein, it received a success and was played five times until 1909. Since then, the work was not performed again. Today it seems, that the full score is lost, just a arrangement for 4-hand-piano excists and received it's first edition in February 2018.
