*Completed July 8 1845, Soden according to Todd, "Mendelssohn: A Life in Music" (p.496). Wehner's MWV catalog cites a letter from June 1845 mentioning rapid work on the piece. First publication by Breitkopf und Härtel noted in Monatsbericht (1851), p.23. Probably issued in late 1850 (per MWV catalog).
