Misc. Notes [From JDH: The file is defective--e.g., Viola 1 is missing pages 4 and 5!] While the 1848 date is backed up by the Hofmeister Monatsbericht and the plate number table, the engraving looks like it could easily have been done in the 1860s or even '70s.
A comparison with the Goethe University-uploaded first edition parts shows that these are, nonetheless, the first edition 1848 parts.
