Navigation etc.

The only surviving manuscripts for this work in the Foerster collection of the University of Pittsburgh consist of two movements in full score (dated Sept, 1894 and Oct., 1896) and an undated cello part of the same two movements. Foerster included this opus in his list of compositions included in his published works as late as the 1920s which would seem to suggest that he did complete the work.
