Recorded, with quartets 1 and 2 of 1848 and 1849 , quartet 4 op.47 of 1888 and the octet op.15a of 1849 (rev.ca.1859), on a 2013/6 CD set.

(Interesting that it was composed when its dedicatee was about 8 years old, though published 27-odd years later.)
