As I recall, publication was mentioned in 1826 AMZ.
"Septetto" in first violin part- does this work relate to Kreutzer's (several-times recorded) septet? Intriguing. (Or we may just have the wrong Violin I part. Plate differs, 196 rather than 197... However, it seems the first violin part and other parts here may belong to the same thing.)

BLB estimates closer to 1816; this should be checked into, as the 1826 might be a reprint. - ES

Listening to the septet and comparing to the parts of the quintet, it seems one may be an arrangement of the other... - ES
