The original orchestral work may be lost.

  • Actually, it might not be lost. I quickly searched this work on WorldCat and found the following published around the turn of the 20th century which appear to be for full orchestra (either arrangements of or the original whole suite for orchestra): https://search.worldcat.org/title/62881691, https://search.worldcat.org/title/1040707673. Both appear to be for full orchestra. Of course, a separate search I did on the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand website revealed that they also seem to have scores for the full four-hand arrangement of the entire suite. - Lisztrachmaninovfan

A Scherzo "Colombine" by Chaminade was published by Hachette of Paris perhaps ca.1903 or so- perhaps a reduction of the 3rd movement, perhaps unrelated - ? - Schissel

4-hand arrangement published 1881. Publication noted in the Bibliographie de la France 2e série, 70e année, Nº 28, 9 Juillet 1881, p.414, r.2729.
