Misc. Notes Although given the English title "Great Jehovah's awful word," this aria is not part of Handel's Israel in Egypt. This is Handel's aria Vuò dar pace from Tamerlano, set a fifth higher to English words (possibly by John Christopher Smith the younger) and inserted in the oratorio in 1765.
