I am a shameless Bach lover. His counterpoint is unequaled, the resulting harmonies nothing short of exquisite. For me The Art of Fugue is a high point in western music. That being said, having recently written over 40 BBBBs (Bitten by the Bach Bug three-part fugues), I decided to tackle the Art of Fugue ... transforming his theme as the spirit moved me and creating my own bakers dozen in homage (or revisitation) if you will to JSB.
