| Extra Information | The Fault Lines of Joy, a trio for violin, viola and cello, is divided in five short movements, played without interruption with the exception of a rest after the second movement. The tempos are slow, fast, slow, fast, and very slow. The slow movements share a pensive tone, as if remembering joy, the faster sections are more explicitly joyful. A recurrent foreboding motive, representing the fault lines, is present throughout all the movements but the first. |
