First produced as a companion piece to 'The Sorcerer' by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. A copy of the libretto, including dialogue, can be found here - The Spectre Knight

Full orchestral score missing, presumed lost, but manuscript orchestral parts held by the Library of Congress as part of the Tams-Witmark Collection. The vocal score published by Oliver Ditson (Boston, n.d.), contains the dialogue which is not present in the Metzler vocal score.
