| Extra Information | This is a modern-classical (i.e. post-romantic) concerto for trumpet and large orchestra. It was composed in 2011-12, but I was never pleased with the first and final movements. In 2026 I replaced both movements with totally new ones; the former versions are to be considered void. I also made some small revisions in the second movement. The composition consists of three movements: a solemn and moderately fast movement in sonata form (with a passionate second theme), a slow movement in AB-form, and a lively finale in a kind of rondo form (with a laconic and humorous main theme, and a heroic Spanish like middle section). Enough possibilities for the soloist to show off. Digital performance using Sibelius Ultimate and NotePerformer 5. The parts come later. Score moving video on my YouTube-channel. (Btw this is Op. 55 not Op. 14 as is wrongfully indicated in the score.) |
