  • Tzolkin Concerto for flute and percussion (1996). The five movements are designed for either to be played as separate parts or in its entirety or either in combination of three or two movements. Tzolkin is the Mayan name of the Mesoamerican ritual calendar, cyclical conception of time, consisting of 260 days and is the result of the combination of the names of 20 days with 13 numerals , combinations of these numbers had a ritual significance to the Maya and are used at all levels in the composition: in the intervallic, in the number of notes in the size of the sections in the general form of each movement so. The work consists of five movements, five directions of the world five cosmological eras.
