Used by Olsen in the suite Modulationes variae.
The original instrumentation is a problem. In the Modulationes variae suite this piece is for strings only. While other movements of the suite feature winds etc., there seem to be no need for composer to arrange the Valse for strings. So, the presumption is the full score with winds presented here might be just an arrangement of the strings version.
Nos.1 & 2 of Modulationes variae are dated 1909, and also the arrangement of this valse for wind band. This may mean that 1909 is also the composition date.
