Navigation etc.

Interestingly, Schirmer offered this in an arrangement for duet, and alternately "arranged for one voice"- which was, it would seem, the original instrumentation. However, it was already being sung as a duet (for soprano and contralto) in 1879 (Oxford & Cambridge Undergraduates Journal, 1879-11-6, page 74), so whether the arrangement is the composer's or another's, it caught on. - Schissel
