History

The Vincent Music Company of London published, from 1890 to 1913, a large volume of mainly small-scale works both sacred and secular, vocal and instrumental, by many now long-forgotten composers including Charles Vincent (1852-1934), presumably the founder. Vincent's operetta for women's voices in two acts The Egyptian Princess (libretto by Jeanie Quinton Rosse) is at Hathi Trust. The best known composers were Hamilton Harty, Julius Harrison, Adam Carse, Alec Rowley, and Hugh Blair.
