Also written for viola and orchestra. This piece won the Chartier Prize of the Institute de France in 1929. Paul-Louis Neuberth's viola alta was a viola of 485mm (over 19-inch) body length, made by luthier Paul Kaul in imitation of Hermann Ritter's invention.
