Interestingly, the section on Ornamentation (Verzierung) clearly shows the Trill as starting on the note above, as was common practice in Baroque music - evidently the change towards the 'modern', 'romantic' trill (starting on the written note) was not universal.

Monatsbericht (1841), p.179. The same issue of HMB has Organ Works by Volckmar, also given Opus 2 and also published by Fischer of Kassel (see page 185).
