The clarinet and bassoon listed under "orchestra" are in addition to the soloists (they are given as oboe 2, clarinet 2, bassoon 2 in the parts while the first in each section is given as "obligato" because of its solo role. There is no flute 2 part, only the solo, though certain sections, e.g. variation 2, of the flute part- for example- are marked out as "solo" presumably because the flute takes the lead in that variation, not, as in some other works, to separate a solo flute from a body of flutes...)

Mentioned in the December 1814 Intelligenzblatt of the AMZ as published or distributed by Breitkopf (probably distributed locally, or engraved?). (Likewise Wilms' Symphonie concertante Op.35 in F, mentioned on the same page.)

The well-known variations for piano are his Op.38.
