Misc. Comments

Grove lists this with the title "Sonata", and several of Haydn's other works for violin, cello, and harpsichord or piano have different titles in different editions, some of which are "Sonata".

It has also been included in some lists as Opus 68 (under which it was published by Longman & Broderip in 1792, so registered September 12 1792 @ Stationers Hall- as a sonata, in this case.)

Unlike some cases, though, it seems the Hummel (first or early) edition actually called it trio (many trios of the Classical era after all were published as "sonatas" and nothing but.)
