Instrumentation | Ancient Oboes : the Pavane is for 5 Oboes (including the Bass which is not a Bassoon) and a Sackbut ; the Song is for a "Cornemuse/Cornamuse" (Renaissance Oboe with a windcap, like the Tournebout/Crumhorn but not curved), and 3 "Hautbois du Poitou" (Poitou Oboes, Baroque French Bombards rather like Oboes). Of course there are suitable for other winds ensembles. |
