||E♭ bass instrument*, piano
Note: LoC guesses(?) that E♭ bass tuba is intended but this does not seem to be indicated on the score - it may more or less follow from the choice of transposition, range used and publication date (and available/used instruments), though that tuba was intended (don't know.) - Schissel (edit: Wikipedia gives Six Solos, voor klarinet, though this may not be the same work. The LoC has also (digitized) among other works by Prendiville "6 Trios"- for baritone (voice? - no words are specified - or cornet? - unlikely to be saxophone in 1881), B♭ cornet and piano), 7 solos for E♭ clarinet (1881), and 7 solos for "E♭ alto".)
