Extra Information	Volumes 1 and 2 (1809, 1811) mainly arranged by Joseph Haydn, with 22 songs arranged by Leopold Kozeluch (Thomson possessed Haydn's arrangements of songs Hob.XXXIb:43-60, but used Kozeluch's versions instead). Volume 3 (1817) mainly arranged by Ludwig van Beethoven, with 4 songs arranged by Haydn.

Title-page transcription: A Select Collection of Original Welsh Airs, Adapted for the Voice, United to Characteristic English Poetry never before Published, with Introductory & Concluding Symphonies and Accompaniments for the Piano Forte or Harp, Violin & Violoncello, composed [i.e. arranged] partly by Haydn, but chiefly by Beethoven. Vol.3
One of the librettists is the painter David Thomson, George's brother. In 1806, in preparation of this Welsh collection, George Thomson made a tour of Wales, taking with him his brother David, "to draw the most striking scenes in that romantic country". [1]
The first volume indeed contains a Welsh landscape by David Thomson.
