- Detailed biography: Brazilian composer born in the beginning of the 21st century, Gustavo Lino grew up in a family with a strong musical influence. He studied throughout his childhood and youth instruments such as bassoon, oboe, flute, violin, harp and piano, with greater proficiency in the last two instruments. He went through important Brazilian musical education institutions, such as the Fundação das Artes de São Caetano do Sul (FASCS), the Universidade Adventista de São Paulo (UNASP), the Escola Municipal de Música de São Paulo (EMM) and the Escola de Música do Estado de São Paulo (EMESP) Tom Jobim, having in the last one developed most of his works during adolescence. In adulthood, he graduated as a pharmacist at the University of São Paulo (USP), where he also met great musicians and composers of the contemporary Brazilian scene. With a syncretic style and marked influence of traditional classical music, he used to define his music as "an eternal stew with all the styles that have ever passed through my ears, whose main content varies according to the seasons of the year and the phases of my life" (sic). He believed in a free and independent music that could convey the essence of human feelings without being subject to financial obligations, which is why he had a short career as a composer and decided to publish his productions in freely accessible and free media, in which he could be appreciated by those who were lucky enough to find it.
