Biography

Ana María Otero is an Argentine music professor (specializing in music theory), a specialist in university teaching, and holds an M.A. in Latin American Art from the Facultad de Artes y Diseño of the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), where she also taught Harmony and Aural Skills (Rhythm and Ear Training). As a ranked lecturer-researcher, she has carried out studies and published on the Mendoza Police Band, the UNCuyo Symphony Orchestra, and nineteenth-century musical documents in the Mendoza press. She is a leading figure in the recovery, preservation, and dissemination of the works of Argentine composer Honorio Siccardi (1897–1963).
