The evidence on the full score leaves open that the work might have been completed before 1887, since only the date of premiere, not of composition, is actually written anywhere on it.
The parts were also issued by Urbánek (in manuscript copies), also with plate U. 473. Fleisher gives first performance Copenhagen, 1888; handwritten notes in score would suggest 1887 January 15, Vienna and several other performances before 1888... Confusing...
