Extra Information Formerly attributed to Joseph Haydn as Hob.VIIb:4. A manuscript with Haydn's name appeared in the Breitkopf catalog in 1772. Based on the style, the concerto was likely composed in the 1750s by Costanzi. First published as Nr.5 of Grützmacher's Hohe Schule des Violoncellspiels with attribution to Joseph Haydn. This version was highly edited on par with other Grützmacher pedagogical editions. Three of the four manuscripts are based on the Zittau model and carry Haydn's name. However, the manuscript at the Musikverein has Costanzi as the composer. The latter collection lacks the solo part.
