History

Christoph Torricella (1715-1798) managed an art publishing house in Vienna from the early 1770s. He then went into music publishing, employing Anton Huberty (ca.1722-1791) as an engraver. Soon, in 1786 he sold his stock, including the vocal score of Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, to his competitor Artaria.
