Notion version uses Spitfire percussion timpani but all other instruments are Notion4 samples C2 Audio Breeze Brass Hall and percussion reverb added with PSP Vintagewarmer light tape compression. EWSO version is all EWSO patches. QL Spaces convolution reverb used on all versions with PSP Wintagewarmer2 postprocessing. An EWSO version was added doubling Trumpet1 on a VSL cornet for added clarity and articulation.

CineBrass Pro Version: Nice brass sounds but very difficult to get fast trumpet articulations - even with 4 doubled first trumpets here. I will experiment a bit more as this is a lovely library (might have to slow it down to get the better articulations and EQ even more as it's too muddy). Notion Version: C2Audio Breeze on all voices with PSP Echo (mono chorus) on trumpets and QL Spaces convolution reverb and PSP VintageWarmer2 compression on stereo output.

Much better articulation on the VSL version. It uses Epic Library cornets instead of trumpets (with Trpt1 doubled on Epic trumpet) and then VSL Special edition brass with ensemble and solo sample doubling). All use the same Spitfire percussion for a better comparison.

You can choose from long and short patches in various articulations and some patches let you remove trumpets or just have horns, but otherwise you don't have control over what notes will play which instrument in common ranges.

Written to test various brass sample libraries. Will be posting versions of these pieces using a number of brass libraries including Standard Notation Programs, CineSamples Cinebrass, East West Hollywood Brass, East West Symphonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphonic Library and Symphobia, among others. Will take a while so check back every now and then. I'll be experimenting an optimizing things as I find issues.
