In the Livgardens Musik sheet music of 1864, no. 55 is a set of older parts for Hans Lumbyes Jubel Galop [no. 2], which is identical to his Gjensyns Glæde Galop. This indicates that the work may have been already composed in 1864 and probably originally for orchestra.
