Extra Information See page 2 for the composer's program for this work (given in both German and English). Note on orchestration: indication “Gr. Trommel mit Becken” (pp. 39–43) suggests that perhaps these should be played by one musician, with the cymbal attached to the bass drum, thus requiring one fewer percussionist.
