Instrumentation
The cover page to the Muzyka score gives the general instrumentation, and then separate instrumentations for the Scenas (since there are no strings involved, these are possibly on-stage parts?):
- piccolo, 2 flutes, oboe, english horn, 3 clarinets in B♭ and A, 2 bassoons, 4 horns in F, 2 trumpets in B♭ A E♭ and F, 3 trombones, tuba, timpani, triangle, drum, cymbals, bass drum, tamtam, harp, strings
- 2 piccolos, 4 flutes, 4 oboes, 4 clarinets in B♭, 4 bassoons, 4 horns in F, 2 trumpets in F, 3 trombones, tuba, triangle, drum, cymbals, bass drum
