Misc. Notes Found in an aria collection ("13 ausgeschriebene Arien von unterschiedenen Compositeurs") in Det Kongelige Bibliothek, Kopenhagen. The title of the opera is not mentioned, but the words are the same as in Ruggiero's aria in Act I, sc. XII of Handel's Alcina. Handel used the libretto of Riccardo Broschis opera L'isola di Alcina (1728 Rome, Teatro Capranica) whose music is lost except for a few arias. This may be one of them.
