The score bears the opus number 176 No. 2 (while Novello gives the 2 Preludes, WoO 4 opus 176 No. 1, ignoring the Fantasia already having that Opus number.)
However, in Paul Janssen's catalogue of Merkel's organ works ("Gustav Merkel: Ein Bild seines Lebens und Wirkens" (Leipzig, 1886)), it's listed as a work without opus number.
