Misc. Comments

  • The piano score (#537841) is titled "Gammel Regiments-Marsch betittlet Melhus-Marschen, foreplystret mig af restauratør Wimpelmann (1866). After the title comes the original tune, followed by this note: "Restauratør Wimpelmann en meget musikalsk Trønder levede i 60 aarene skiftesvis paa Stenkjaer og stationen Heimdal ved Trondhjem. This note is present also in the pencil draft (#537842).
  • The decitatee is called kaptein in the piano score (#537841), but major in the parts (#537840), which means they are not of the same date.
