Extra Information There are two, possibly three, versions of this work. Charpentier's autograph is in Mélanges autographes, Vol. 27 and contains four instrumental parts. Separately there are manuscript parts [VM1-942] in three different hands, including that of Charpentier. The parts, collected in one volume, are as follows:

Vocal parts: dessus (10 p.).
Choral parts: hautte contre g[rand]. c[hoeur]. (6 p.), taille grand choeur (5 p.), basse taille g[rand]. c[hoeur]. (6 p.), basse g[rand] ch[oeur] - 6 copies (6, 6, 6, 6 6, 5 p.).
(8 p. each), basse continue pour l'orgue (8 p.), basse continue de violon (8 p.). The instrumental partbooks reflect two different versions of the work. The first three (?) [BNF says four] parts, as well as the last one, represent a smaller version. The remaining parts represent a larger version, most likely the autograph version in the Mélanges or possibly a slightly different one.
