Extra Information Chappell was unsuccessful in finding any more words than the refrain of this song.
The melody has so much in common with "Life let us cherish" (Freu't euch des Lebens by Hans Georg Nägeli) that it is difficult to imagine it deriving from anything but that song - as though a harmony part has been taken as a melody and given new harmonic clothing.
