Many of these I have written for specific people in my life, as part of an ongoing series titled 'Preludes for People'. These are small pieces that people contact me for as a commission, or I write for other people as a gift. It has been a huge joy to write for each of these people. I often work from a small piece of material provided to me by the commissioner, such as adjectives, photos, memories, poems, stories, what have you.
