This publishing company was founded in 1905, in Berlin, by four Polish composers: Grzegorz Fitelberg, Ludomir Różycki, Apolinary Szeluto, and Karol Szymanowski. It was financed by Władysław Lubomirski and operated on the premises of Albert Stahl. The activities of the company and that of its founders contributed to the "Young Poland" movement in music in the early 20th century.
Note that the company's full name was "Społka Nakładowa Młodych Kompozytorów Polskich", but it was usually referred to as Spółka Nakładowa.
Many publications list both Albert Stahl and Gebethner and Wolff as co-publishers. It published works by the founders (Fitelberg, Różycki, Szeluto, and Szymanowski), as well as by other Polish composers, including Franciszek Brzeziński, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Henryk Opieński, and Felicjan Szopski.
The company ceased operations in 1912.
Plate numbers appear in formats ### and S. ### N. The S. ### N plates clearly identify Spółka Nakładowa, though some of the numbers with format ### might have belonged to Albert Stahl instead.
