According to Faucett ("George Whitefield Chadwick: The Life and Music of the Pride of New England" p.107), (George?) Henschel conducted the Scherzando soon after it was completed, on March 7 1884; and the first movement was premiered April 29 1885.

A.T. Scott his life's friend (lebendsfreund) possibly his good lifetime friend Tom Scott identified in Faucett's book.
