Talk:Fantasia for Piano, Op.77 (Beethoven, Ludwig van)

There is an error in the title of this work, both in the score and for the entry. It should be G Minor / B major. What an interesting piece, though, to end in such a key! --Goldberg988 13:17, 15 May 2007 (EDT)

Indeed... and title corrected :) --Feldmahler 13:55, 15 May 2007 (EDT)
There seems to be some confusion in the history for this page: if I'm reading it correctly, it appears that the piece *did* appear under a page with its correct title stating B major, then someone changed it back to Bb major, obviously believing the flat sign to have been omitted in error.
I'd be tempted to change it back, but: (a) I don't know how to; and (b) if I could somehow do it, I don't really know if I have permission. (Does it work like Wikipedia? - if you can do it, then you can be bold and do it?)
I guess the wrong key on the first page of the score is there for good, short of editing it somehow, or just submitting a new scan. M.J.E. 04:07, 14 September 2008 (EDT)

I hope I haven't stepped out of line, but I have just renamed it back to mention B major again. Although it had been done before, somehow it got changed back to Bb major. M.J.E. 16:06, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Not sure where the B major title-part came from- did the person or people even look at the score? Or just assume?... Eric 14:24, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Ends in B MAJOR-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 16:16, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Dover interestingly enough makes the B-Flat Major mistake-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 19:53, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I've locked the move permissions so that we don't have this happen again >.>-- Snailey (_@/) Talk to Me Email me 19:54, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Title

Though it is most commonly referred to as "Fantasia in G minor". This is true for most publications I've seen of the piece, and most catalogs listing the piece. It would be my gentle suggestion that the piece be moved accordingly, though I see where the disagreement is - Lndlewis10 01:33, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

I think the problem now is a reluctance to move it to where it's already been- hence the B Major that should be B major if it's there at all, etc. etc. ... - though cut/paste/redirect would be a simpler solution than a 'move' I suspect... Eric 01:40, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
