  • On page 3 the publication shows Op.56. However, this opus number is also used for 10 lette Klaverstykker by the composer. In order to distinguish between both works, Op.56a is used for this work; the same opus number is also used in Hofmeisters Monatsbericht.
  • Although it is registered in Hofmeisters' for November 1881, it was published in December 1880 (see notes of the score). This is not unusual for works published far from Hofmeisters' offices, really.
