Though RISM, in 2 different entries, says this madrigal is part of Vergine bella che di sol vestita, the 1560 collection (linked above) does not say "2a pars" etc, next to the consecutive parts, and treats them as separate madrigals, though the subtitle of the collection says "dove si contengono le vergini", in other words it contains "the virgins". This indicates that Bassani at least saw them as a group, if not one work. The other "Vergini" are:
a pars. Vergine bella che di sol vestita
a pars. Vergine saggia & del bel numer’una
a pars. Vergine pura d’ogni part’intera
a pars. Vergine santa d’ogni gratia piena
a pars. Vergine sol’al mondo senz’essempio
a pars. Vergine quante lagrim’ho già sparse
a pars. Vergine tal’è terra e post’ha in doglia
a pars. Vergine in cui ho tutta mia speranza
a pars. Vergine humana & nemica d’orgoglio
RISM also adds the following as an 11th part:
a pars. Il di s’appressa et non puot’esser lunge
