History
W. Benicke was an engraving company in Leipzig, operating from ca.1890 to ca.1910. It produced many items for C.F. Schmidt of Heilbronn and C.F. Kahnt of Leipzig, but some of its work was for self-publication (composer-financed publications), for example Zerlett's Requiem (1900), Draeseke's opera Herrat, and Rudnick's oratorio Der verlorene Sohn, Op.100.
