According to letters by the composer, I gather, written in 4 days in April 1838? - Schissel
The 1850 revision is musically quite significant (several repeats were added, the endings of Nos. 4 and 5 were changed, 20 bars were inserted and 8 removed in No. 2, and dynamics, tempo markings and other agogics are in places very different). I've thus put the two in separate subcategories, hope that's ok. Cheap Imitation 04:26, 9 February 2016 (EST)
