Extra Information The quartets published by Gombert are not the same quartets published by Sieber. While the title page of both sets list the quartets as Op.42, they are not the same works. The Sieber Op.42 were also published by Artaria of Vienna as Op.29. Op.42 Nos. 1 and 2 (aka 29 Nos. 1 and 2) have been recorded by the Pleyel Quartet of Cologne on a CPO CD 777 770. Op.29 quartets are in the keys of E flat Major, G Major and The Gombert Op.42 were originally published by Bureau d'Arts et d'Industrie in Vienna in about 1802. The keys are D Major, F Major and c minor. These quartets were recorded by the Quartetto Oceano.
